Sarah Rushford
Sarah Rushford (she/her) is a writer, video artist, and mother living in Portland, OR. She has shown interdisciplinary work widely over the past twenty-seven years, recently earned an MFA from PNCA, and founded and co-directs the time-based arts alliance Outer Voice. Her video work was included in the 2024 Oregon Contemporary Artists’ Biennial. Sarah makes video projects that might widen notions of reading and writing. She experiments with video, audio, creative reading, and writing to nurture relationships among participants and to provide tools that trouble a prescriptive telling of selfhood.
