KT Kusmaul

KT Kusmaul (she/they)is a fat, queer, non-binary performance artist, dancer, choreographer, and community builder. Their history of creating radical gender performance in the underground queer art scene developed their skills for community building, which is integral to their creativity. They founded Body Home Fat Dance in 2016 to create affinity spaces for fat folks to connect and dance. In 2018, they were awarded the year-long Alembic Artist Residency at Performance Works NW, where they developed Weighted Bodies.  Their work has been produced as part of On The Boards NW New Work Festival and Performance Lab, Risk/Reward, Pavement by Boom Arts, Fertile Ground with Echo Theater,  PDX Dance Collective Choreographers Showcase, and Knock Out.
